Description

The famed 1999 Shiraz 1914 (from an 85-year old vineyard) exhibits a saturated ruby/purple color as well as creamy, ripe blackberry liqueur characteristics intermixed with notions of licorice, smoke, and compost. Full-bodied and unctuously-textured with sweet, rich fruit, this fleshy, well-balanced Shiraz can be drunk now and over the next decade. For readers who want to compare the 1999 with the kinky, over-sized 1998, the 1999 is far more evolved and approachable. - WA90
