This Cabernet is built each vintage on the notion of a Bordeaux blend, with soft and silky tannins crafted for immediate enjoyment. Aromas and flavors of dark red fruit led by raspberry, black cherry and evident oak spice are joined with more traditional Knights Valley tones of black and blue fruits. A touch of licorice and mocha round out a lingering, pleasant finish. - Winemaker's Notes
This is a very fresh and bright 2015 with walnuts, fresh herbs and dark fruit. Full-bodied and dense, yet agile and layered. A beautiful wine. Love the texture. Drink or hold.- JS93
Firm, rich and tightly focused on a core of vivid dark berry, light mocha and cedar flavors, finishing long and layered. A real treat. Drink now through 2026. - WS92
Blended of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley has a deep garnet-purple color and nose of crème de cassis, preserved plums and Christmas cake with hints of mocha, sautéed herbs and sandalwood. Full, rich and spicy in the mouth, it has a plush frame and plenty of open-knit fruit, finishing on a peppery note. - WA90
Buttery vanilla, cherry and plum notes give this wine a plush backdrop of fruit and rich, round texture. With small percentages of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, it reveals additional cedar and graphite components before unleashing a lasting chocolate flavor on the finish. - WE90
A LEGACY OF FIRSTS
Beringer is known for establishing many 'firsts' as leaders in the wine industry. We were one of the first gravity fed facilities and among the first to operate using hand-dug caves and cellars. We were the first to give public tours in 1934, starting a Napa Valley hospitality tradition. We are the first and only winery to have both a red and a white wine named #1 Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator Magazine.
Passion has the wonderful power to turn mere objects into an obsession, to transform everyday tasks into art. At Beringer, we have been living our passion for over 144 years.
