St Supery Dollarhide Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
- Napa Valley
- Cabernet Sauvignon
Introduced by deep purple hues with hints of red, this wine showcases aromas of blackberry and black currant that combine with elements of dark mocha, toasted vanillin oak and molasses. This is a structured wine with bold flavors of blackberry, currant and dark fruit that couple with cocoa and sweet barrel maturation. Complex, this wine has fine ripe tannins that finish with finesse. - Winemaker's Notes
A linear and fresh red with blackcurrant and blueberry character. Flowers. Full body, silky and polished with a pretty finish. Lively and focused. Pure and bright. Fine tannins. Drink or hold. - JS94
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Dollarhide Estate Vineyard had a small part of the blend fermented in barrels and spent 19 months in 66% new French oak before being bottled. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a rich, concentrated, slightly reserved 2014 that has lots of blackcurrant, toasted spice, earth and espresso aromas and flavors. With medium to full-bodied richness, impressive mid-palate concentrated, ripe tannin, and outstanding length, it’s an impressive 2014 that will last for 10-15 years. - Jeb Dunnuck92
Closed on the nose but suggests a good balance between richness and freshness. Noticeable ripeness and an energetic, driven core are followed by a long, chocolatey finish. Decanter 90
