Marques de Riscal Gran Reserva 2007
A fresh berry aroma is overpowered by an earthy overtone in this wine. This is holding up on the palate, while flavors of roasted berry fruits are just not that ripe, a lasting reflection of a cold vintage. - WE87
Marqués de Riscal is one of Rioja's oldest and most famous wine estates. It makes a range of traditional-style Rioja wines made predominantly from Tempranillo, as well as a white wine from Rueda. Nowadays, the estate is as famous for the distinctive, Frank Geary-designed hotel that forms part of the estate as it is for its wines.
