Chateau Haut Saint Martin 2010
- Merlot,Cabernet Sauvignon
The wine is aged in oak barrels for 12-months, making it a tannic and fruity wine with a round palate. It gives off aromas of wood and red fruits, just like all great wines of old tradition.
The Chateau Haut Saint Martin is located in Saint Martin de Laye on an 8-hectare surface composed of clay and ferruginus soils.
The vineyard is owned by Lafon family who works in close partnership with the Milhade family. Mr Lafon was the chief financial officer of the Milhade companyfor over 40 years.
The vineyard is mostly Merlot (80%) as well as Cabernet (10%) and Pressac (10%) also known as Malbec. Since the 2013 Millesime, the wine is only composed of Merlot.
