Juniper Estate Three Fields Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Margaret River
Cabernet Sauvignon
JH93, JS93, WA90

Sorted, 4-day cold soak, 12-14 days' skin contact; matured in barriques (30% new French) for 14 months. Bright crimson. Man alive, this packs a punch, with alternating layers of cassis and tannins that go on and on. Each part is so clearly articulated, the requisite balance will allow this to cruise through the 10+ years it needs.’ Drink by 2050 - JH93

A fresh, fruit-focused cabernet with ripe raspberries and red cherries, as well as blackcurrant and lightly leafy tones. The palate is driven by bright and intense fruit with oak adding some extra spicy depth and weight. Agile and drinkable cabernet. Drink now. Screw cap. - JS93

The 2020 Three Fields Cabernet Sauvignon has a savory nose, with layered salted heirloom tomatoes (the sweet kind, in summer), pomegranate, raspberry coulis and exotic spice. In the mouth, the fruit is clustered at the front of the palate and spools out over the finish. Drink: 2022~2029- WA90

The Winery

Juniper Estate is a producer of premium wines in Wilyabrup, the heart of the remote, environmentally pristine Margaret River winegrowing area lying in the south west corner of Australia about 270km south of the state capital, Perth. When the vineyard was planted in 1973 (under its original guise of Wright's), it was one of only six Margaret River wine producers. Juniper was established by the late Roger Hill and his wife Gillian Anderson with the intention of producing wines which rank among the best to come from Wilyabrup and beyond. Wilyabrup has established itself since the late 1960s as the most successful sub-region of Margaret River, particularly for red wines; our reds are true to the style of the region, with minimal influence from the winery, and are further testament to Wilyabrup's proven ability to produce wines of the highest quality.
