Second label of Chateau Leoville Barton.
Deep garnetred colored. Offers a great combination of power and finesse, with bold aromas of cassis, blackberries and Turkish mocha that lead to big but ripe tannins and a mouth-watering acidity. Juicy and medium-bodied. The wine expands on the palate and comes with a beautiful finish. Best from 2014 through 2020+. - PS91+(pierosini)
The Leoville Barton reserve is the product of the Chateaux Leoville Barton vineyards (2nd Cru class) and Langoa Barton (3rd Cru class) Saint Julien. The vineyards are named after Hugh Barton, who bought the Chateau Langoa Barton in 1821 and the Chateau Leoville Barton in 1826 and, to date, the family still owns both vineyards.
The label of the bottle, showing a wild boar, was created specially by the Barton family. The quality of the Reserve De Leoville Barton is very similar to the Langoa Barton , moreover, this wine is produced entirely in the magnificent lands where the grapes are grown.
